ABOUT OUR CHURCH

A bit of History as taken from a letter to our church from
Most Rev. Frank J. Rodimer Bishop of Paterson. May 1993
for our seventy-fifth anniversary.

...The parish has been a home away from home to the immigrants
from Poland who have continued to flow into our area. They looked
for the opportunities offered by our nation but wanted to preserve and
foster the faith handed down to them in their homeland. They needed
a place where they could worship and hear the Word of God in their
own language and in a way that respected their culture. They made
great sacrifices to build a house of God and continue to make them
to maintain it . It is their home, but His first!
The priests, religious and laity who have worked and prayed together
in Holy Rosary Parish for three quarters of a century have made it a
strong of believers in the love of God made manifest by sending His
Devine Son to be our Savior. They have unceasingly demonstrated
their faith in this mystery through the celebratin of the Eucharist.
Jesus lives in their hearts through the sacraments, and that is what
makes Holy Rosary Important, not only to its members but to the
entire diocese. That is a gift for which I am especially grateful.
